How to keep ur car safe from theives

1 - BUY AN ODD COLOUR
It's a well known fact that striking colours like orange, yellow and golden do not sell for the same price in the used Market as conservative ones. Thieves are all too aware of this fact and hence will avoid a car that has such a paint scheme. Also, cars with things like body kits and stickers on its body are not too hot for thieves as they get too much attention and are easier to trace then regular cars.

2 - USE A VISIBLE DETERRENT
Use simple and relatively inexpensive features like a gear lock and steering, which are very tough to break through. These are visible to the eye and ensure that the thieves won't want to do anything with your car as it will take longer to drive away. You can also use alarm locks, which can create a raucous and ensure that the thieves run away from your car immediately.

3 - ETCH YOUR CAR
Etching your car's windows might not seem like a very aesthetic idea but it's a good idea. Reselling a car with etched windows means that thieves will have a tough time keeping the car away from the cop's eyes. Its also a good idea to get some other part of the body etched. Panels like below the bonnet or trunk lid are a good idea.

4 - KEEP VALUABLES AWAY
No matter how good and expensive high tech gadgets you have installed, it's a good idea not to leave anything of value visible on the seats to attract someone to break into your car. Always keep cell phones and purses and wallets inside the glovebox. Even something small like a pair of sunglasses can interest someone into breaking your car. Ofcourse, always lock your car doors and keep your windows rolled up at all times.

5 - LIGHTEN UP
Leave the outside lights near your automobile on at all times during the night. Many criminals will be at least a bit more wary of trying to break into (or steal) your car with a light right on top of them. This lets others know that you are keeping an eye on things and inhibits random lurking on your property.

6 - KEEP IT UNDER COVER
If you have a garage, use it. But make sure your garage is locked. A garage is only useful in this regard if the perpetrator can't easily get into it while no one is home. If you don't have a garage then it's a good idea to invest in a car body cover. That way criminals won't know what the car is all about and what's its actual worth.
